About Crunch:

Crunch is a multi-award winning Software as a Service (SaaS) company born in the heart of Brighton with a brilliant team of 130, and over 40,000 users of our software. Together, we single-handedly pioneered a complete online accounting solution to empower self-employed contractors, freelancers and micro-businesses in the UK, helping them to grow their business and create the lives they want as part of a powerful community.

Now we no longer have a large office base as we embrace remote-first ways of working, the role offers you the opportunity to work remotely all the time, or a mixture of office and remote working if you would prefer this as we have some temporary office space in the Brighton & Hove area.

We have an exciting new permanent Sales Team Manager in our fantastic Sales team!

The role offers a basic salary depending on experience of £36,000 to £45,000 per annum (On Target Earnings (OTE) of £51,000 to £60,000 per annum).

About the role:

This role is responsible for managing the performance of the Sales team at Crunch to achieve expected business results, and requires passion and tenacity to succeed in a dynamic and target driven sales environment.

The role will be the ultimate Crunch brand ambassador, with an in-depth knowledge of new and existing Crunch products, services and packages, helping us to further enhance and increase our client base and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

The role includes regular involvement in active business development activities and attending business networking events to generate some of your own leads.

This role is a predominantly office based role in central Brighton, with at least 4 days per week working in our central Brighton co-working space, and 1 day per week working from home, this may vary slightly if attending external events. There is some flexibility required with working hours due to attending early morning or evening networking events as scheduled in advance. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of Brighton & Hove.

Role responsibilities:

  • Be a point of contact throughout the business, build and maintain strong relationships with key Crunch stakeholders at all levels, to enable our lead generation, sales and business development activities.
  • Oversee the overall performance and day to day management of our blended inbound and outbound sales team - including but not limited to: lead allocation, target management, management of multiple internal systems and phone cover.

  • Provide feedback on user journeys such as from prospective clients to help us continually improve our onboarding and ensure new clients have the best possible experience from the outset.
  • Help to define and implement department, team and individual Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) with input from the Interim Operations & Finance Director and People Team, and record actions and outputs on Hibob.
  • Drive performance through achievable but challenging incentives, actively increase conversion and retention rates and maximise cross and upsell opportunities; driving agreed KPI performance across the team.
  • Be responsible for providing monthly sales commission, Refer a Friend payments and other incentive calculations to the People Team in a timely manner for payroll purposes.
  • Represent and showcase Crunch at trade shows, industry events and networking events as part of the agreed event schedule and budget, to set the standard for proactively generating Advisor driven leads to boost the funnel and achieve agreed targets.
  • Provide ideas for potential offers and fresh and innovative marketing campaigns by having a positive working relationship with our Marketing team.
  • Maintain dialogue with existing Crunch partners and share ideas about further partnership growth opportunities.
  • Ensure that legal and regulatory requirements from a department and company perspective are considered and met at all times, such as adherence to ‘Crunch Essentials’ compliance, to minimise or mitigate any potential commercial or reputational risks to Crunch.
  • A member of the Crunch Crisis Management Team, ensuring a swift and proactive disaster recovery response to any critical situations affecting business continuity or the potential/existing client experience.
  • When office based, act as a Duty Manager in our Brighton co-working space office, be an active presence to signpost all team members to the help needed to work in the office in a comfortable and safe manner, and ensure a professional working environment.
