Today we’re joining the whole of the UK in doffing our caps to freelancers as part of National Freelancers Day.

Now in its fourth year, National Freelancers Day was put together by the PCG as a way to celebrate the UK’s burgeoning freelance and contractor workforce. In 2010 we were featured in a Telegraph supplement espousing the freelancing lifestyle and last year, amongst a whole heap of media coverage, we put on the party of the season in Brighton to mark the day.

This year’s celebrations promise to be bigger and better than ever before. We’ve almost doubled the attendance of our party this year, and sourced some awesome prizes to give away to attendees too! If you’re able to get to Brighton tomorrow, we thoroughly recommend you attend.

Elsewhere the PCG have put together another informative event in London this evening featuring an expert panel, and other freelancer-friendly businesses are putting on shindigs up and down the country.

Wherever you are in the UK, if you’re a freelancer you can give yourself a pat on the back today, safe in the knowledge that you’re part of an elite 1.6-million-strong group who are forging a path for flexible, modern working and contributing more to the UK’s economic recovery than perhaps any other group!

Colour me confused. Here, you say it’s Thursday the 22nd:

The Lanyrd page says Thursday the 22nd:

But you’re talking above about it being today.

    Am I missing something?

    Hi James,

The actual National Freelancers Day is today, but our party is tomorrow so as not to clash with the PCG’s event in London this evening. Little confusing, sorry!

    Gotcha, thanks. Thought I had a diary/brain malfunction…
