In July and August PCG’s insurers paid out a total of £45,800 in compensation to seven of its freelance members whose agencies defaulted.
PCG is the Professional Contractors Group which rallies on behalf of the nations freelancers and contractors.
The freelancers who received the benefit of these payouts had signed up to the PCG Plus membership which costs £220 plus VAT every year. Members are able to make a claim in a number of areas, including if your agency goes bankrupt, if you’re requested for jury service cover or if you’re investigated under IR35.
Crunch online accounting has been accredited by the PCG as a result of our expertise in tackling IR35 and other contractor specific tax issues.
