Last night saw a meeting of masterminds in the bowels of the Koba Bar in Brighton. It was a special freelance event sponsored by Crunch and hosted by PCG – the voice of freelancing in the UK.

It was great to see so many freelancers come together and talk lucidly about the challenges facing their businesses and the flexi-workforce in general.

And everyone was there. From the long established IT contractor to the full-time web designer looking to take the plunge and go it alone for the first time.

Fuelled by free alcohol (courtesy of yours truly), the evening was showered with golden nuggets of business wisdom as people bounced ideas off of each other in a vibrant and unstuffy environment.

There will be more freelance events going on around the country in the lead up to National Freelancers Day on November 23. To find out how you can get involved visit the National Freelancers Day website.
