We dedicate a lot of our time at Crunch to automation. Our new expenses area, for example, is designed to automate as many of those time-consuming expense payments as possible, and last year we launched GoLimited.co, a fully-automated limited company formations service which has sliced the average company formations time – and cost – almost in half.

Today we’re launching a service to help automate limited company formations even further – and we’re calling her Betty.

Betty is a Twitter bot who is currently enjoying semi-retirement over at our GoLimited twitter account.¬†Simply tweet the name of a company you’d like to register at¬†@GoLtd, and Betty will scuttle off into Companies House and get back to you within two minutes (she’s quite feisty, despite her advanced years) to let you know if the name you desire is available or not, and help you get started with the incorporation process.
Betty
Think of her like a Twitter-based Siri, but without the potty mouth.

To give Betty a try, tweet “Search @GoLtd Your Company Name” (example tweet here), and she should get back to you before long with the result.

A few things to bear in mind about Betty:

– You can use “Search” or “Find” to look for a company name

– She’s plugged directly into the Companies House API, so will work whenever the API is working (i.e. the vast majority of the time, even outside office hours)

– She might occasionally tweet special offers, especially if she’s just watched a particularly good episode of Countdown

– She doesn’t like bad language
