There have been plenty of changes to the employment, finance and tax landscapes for freelancers and contractors recently.

First the 2012 Budget was published in March, then HMRC unveiled their new IR35 Business Entity Tests and Example Scenarios, and finally the civil service IR35 pay deals fiasco resulted in a raft of new rules for those working in the public sector.

If only there was some way you could keep up to date with all these new developments – perhaps in a comfortable London hotel, with refreshments provided?

Well, you’re in luck! We’ve once again teamed up with Wealth Matters and the PCG for one of our highly-informative contractor seminars, to be held on Wednesday 27th June at the Cumberland Hotel in London.

The PCG will be providing an update on the current working environment for contractors as well as their latest views on legislation, and updates on IR35 and the HMRC business tests.

Wealth Matters will discuss investment and retirement planning strategies for contractors and freelancers, plus valuable information about tax-efficient protection solutions.

Lastly, our Financial Director Steve Crouch will be discussing such things as allowable expenses, how to pay yourself in the most tax-efficient manner, and providing an update on new tax allowances introduced since the 2012 Budget.

The seminar is completely free to attend, and should provide a clear and informative update for those freelancers and contractors who like to stay on top of industry issues. Refreshments will be provided and there will be an open Q&A at the end of the session, as well as a chance to chat to all the presenters afterwards.

The seminar will start at 7pm (reception starting at 6.30pm), and should wrap up around 8.45pm.

If you wish to attend, please get in touch with Wealth Matters by either calling 0800 954 1501 or emailing info@wealth-matters.co.uk
