Anybody visiting the Crunch Connect tab in recent weeks will have noticed a new addition – a section at the bottom called Crunch Labs. We snuck it into the app a few weeks ago, but today we’re formally launching this new area. This is where, from now on, we’ll be keeping new integrations, tweaks and toys we’re working on.
As you might guess with a name like Labs, this stuff isn’t quite ready to be fully baked into Crunch. All Labs products work well, but there might be a few rough edges – nonetheless it’s stuff we want our clients to be playing around with, using regularly, and giving us feedback on.
Our timesheets integration with Harvest has been up and running for a few weeks now, and today we’re adding a second Labs product; a bulk expense importer. This allows you to upload a CSV file of historical expenses and have each item automatically recorded in Crunch – great for people who need to get their accounts up to date in a hurry, or people moving over to Crunch from a spreadsheet-based system or other accounting software.

Something you’d like to see built? We’re keeping a close eye on the Feedback Forum to see which ideas get the most support – so add your ideas and get voting! Any Labs products that get positive feedback and good uptake from our clients will be built into the Crunch app proper, and become a day-to-day part of our service.
We have another Labs product that’s very nearly ready for mass consumption too – integration with GoCardless. We’re looking for beta testers at the moment, if you’d like to give it a try leave a comment below and we’ll get in touch.
