Sussex businesses will now have access to a service aimed to help them choose what growth schemes are right for them.

The Chambers of Commerce of Brighton & Hove, Worthing & Adur, and Chichester have teamed up to provide the new Business Navigator Growth Hub service.

The Chambers hope to use this new initiative to help businesses access grants, support and funding opportunities supported through the Regional Growth Fund.

There are currently over 150 grants to choose from, which the Chambers feel can leave businesses overwhelmed by which to apply for.

Examples of current initiatives include pure grants of anywhere between £5,000 and £250,000; various boot camps, workshops and mentoring sessions; and internship schemes, aimed at reducing the risks of businesses taking on new talent.

The Business Navigator Growth Hub will be a single point where businesses can go – whether members of the Chambers or otherwise – to learn about these schemes and to choose one that suits their needs.

Laura Evans will run the service for the Brighton & Hove area. She said:

“Whatever stage of your business journey you may be at, there certainly is a lot out there to investigate – and much of it is free to access.”
