Five members of the Crunch team headed to London on Thursday, 20th September 2018, for the Accounting Excellence awards, hopeful - but not expectant - of bringing an award back to Brighton.

Crunch's CEO and founder, Darren Fell, had been nominated for 2018 Practice Accountancy Pioneer of the Year prize, but faced stiff competition.

To our delight, Darren scooped the award, presented to him by Countdown presenter Rachel Riley, no less.

On winning the prize, Darren said: "It's a genuine privilege to receive this award. It's recognition of the Crunch team's hard work to constantly push the boundaries in terms of what we can do to support the thriving self-employed sector."

We'll never stop innovating our accountancy service and are proud to also offer mortgages, small business insurance, debt collections and financial advice."

Although this was awarded to me by name, it's really a testament to the amazing work each and every one of our team does day in and day out, and I see it as an award to recognise the whole Crunch team.

"Crunch has come a long way since 2007, and there's so much more to come. Watch this space!"
