About Crunch:

Crunch is a multi-award winning Software as a Service (SaaS) company born in the heart of Brighton with a brilliant team of 130, over 17,500 clients and 50,000 Crunch Chorus members. Together, we single-handedly pioneered a complete online accounting solution to empower self-employed contractors, freelancers and micro-businesses in the UK, helping them to grow their business and create the lives they want as part of a powerful community.

Now we no longer have a large office base as we embrace remote-first ways of working, the role offers you the opportunity to work remotely all the time, or a mixture of office and remote working if you would prefer this as we have some temporary office space in the Brighton & Hove area.

We have a rarely available new permanent Salesforce Administrator role in our small but perfectly formed Salesforce team at Crunch!

About the role:

Act as the day to day point of contact and ‘first line’ support for all Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform queries within the Crunch team, helping to deliver new products and services, driving efficiency gains, resolving issues and maintaining an exceptional level of service to our internal customers.

Working with our Salesforce Lead, the role requires demonstrable experience in a technical Salesforce Administrator role, with the ability to work on technical configuration tasks and proactively solve any issues that may arise.

Please note that previous experience using Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and applications at specialist or administrator level is essential for this role. Applicants without this specific experience would not be shortlisted for an interview.

About You:

  • This role is open to applicants with the right to live and work in the UK.
  • Please note that we’re unable to offer sponsorship to overseas candidates.
  • The usual working hours are Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30.
  • You need to be able to work from home in a comfortable, private environment, with a solid internet connection (a minimum of 10-12 Mbps upload speed).
  • We'll provide you with all the IT equipment you need to get set up before you start with us - so there's no need to supply your own.
  • You would agree to visit our offices in the Brighton & Hove area on or before your first day to collect your IT equipment and attend a ‘Welcome to Crunch’ induction.

Role responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the rest of the Transformation & Product team to drive efficiency, establish best practices and be an active contributor to the ‘discovery’ and ‘benefits realisation’ phases of business projects and initiatives.
  • Act as gatekeeper for the overall architecture of the Crunch Salesforce platform, implementing Salesforce ‘best practice’ solutions to ensure the continued integrity of the system.
  • Design and implement workflows, to improve and maintain the quality of the Salesforce system data and conduct regular checks of data integrity.
  • Maintain the active team users of Salesforce, including set up of licences as part of the onboarding process and ensure leaver’s access is frozen or removed from the system.
  • Support in the production of accurate and insightful reports and dashboard information as requested by stakeholders and senior management.
  • Build strong working relationships, in particular with client facing teams and encourage a proactive and collaborative approach to communication.
  • Investigate issues that occur and work with cross functional teams to troubleshoot until they are resolved.
  • Support the Transformation & Product team with any projects or initiatives which impacts the usage of the Salesforce platform.
  • Make suggestions to improve the functionality of the Salesforce system for the end users based on their feedback.
  • Embrace the usage of the Hibob system, which is being used by Crunch to complete regular 121 and review conversations, and for setting and tracking company and department Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

Role specific qualifications and experience:

  • Demonstrable knowledge and usage of the platform and Salesforce CRM system, in particular its workflows, process builder, Flows, validation rules, profiles and permissions.
  • Practical experience in a comparable Salesforce Administrator or equivalent role.
  • Advanced numerical and IT literacy skills, in particular the use of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Practical implementation of robust information security procedures and adherence to the UK GDPR legislation.

  • Salesforce Administrator certification such as ADM 201, or working towards this.
  • Awareness of the features of a Software as a Service (SaaS) and ‘FinTech’ businesses and topical issues within the wider business landscape.
