About

About Crunch:

Crunch is a multi-award winning Software as a Service (SaaS) company, born in the heart of Brighton with a brilliant team of 110, and over 40,000 users of our software.

Crunch isn’t your typical online accountancy firm. We’re a grassroots business built from the ground up, facing the same challenges as our clients. Since 2009, we’ve empowered thousands of small and medium sized businesses to take control of their finances with our simple, effective software, which includes real accountant support. Crunch takes the stress out of accounting, so our clients can focus on doing what they love!

We have an exciting new permanent Social Media & Content Executive role available in our Marketing team!

About the role:

Are you obsessed with what makes people stop scrolling? Do you live and breathe hooks, trending audio, and algorithm updates? If you’re active on your own social channels, grown business social accounts, love experimenting with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to speed up your workflow, and know exactly how to turn organic engagement into a lead-generation funnel, we would love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll have a high level of autonomy to own our social media channels with guidance and support from the Marketing team, focussing on:

  • Content creation and design: Use your sharp video, photography, editing, graphic design and copy writing skills to produce high-performing content. This will be used across organic social media, paid media and in other areas of marketing.
  • Trend jacking and hooks: Actively spot industry and non-industry trends, using the right hooks to captivate our audience (in particular Gen Z and Millennials as an important target market).
  • Strategy and pillars: Contribute to social media strategy and content pillars.
  • Post scheduling vs live posting: Know when to strategically schedule posts to maximise reach and engagement, and when to jump on a trend you’ve spotted right there and then.
  • Community management: Engage daily with our followers, respond to comments and messages in a timely, professional, and engaging manner.
  • Building partnerships: Collaborate with industry influencers, thought leaders, and User Generated Content (UGC) creators to expand our brand reach.
  • AI optimisation: Leverage AI tools to brainstorm and increase speed-to-market (while always fact-checking for accuracy).

About your skills and experience:

Essential:

  • 2+ years of experience managing social media platforms with a proven track record of growing an organic funnel.
  • Demonstrable technical and creative skills (editing, camera work, graphic design, copy) to execute ideas and bring them to life.
  • A self starter who doesn’t need hand-holding. You are highly organised, can manage your own workload remotely, and are a natural problem solver.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the utmost accuracy and attention to detail with tasks such as social media posts and content writing.
  • You are audience savvy and understand how to translate complex topics (like accounting and finance) into creative, digestible content that resonates with freelancers and small businesses.
  • You have demonstrable experience of using social media scheduling tools.

What you’ll get in return:

We’re very proud of our collaborative and inclusive working environment - you’ll be working as part of a fun and vibrant Marketing team, with a whole host of fantastic company benefits!

These include:

  • A basic salary depending on experience up to £28,000 per annum.
  • Fully remote working in the UK, with no more than a quarterly meet up as required and occasional travel for content capture and meetings.
  • 33 days holiday a year (including bank holidays) - plus an extra half day off on your birthday.
  • Long service gift awards plus extra holidays for 5, 10 and 15 years’ service.
  • Workplace pension scheme with Scottish Widows after qualifying service period.
  • Private Medical Insurance after qualifying service period.
  • Life assurance (4 x salary) from day one of employment.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
  • One paid volunteering leave day per year.
