Katy’s recruitment business is going from strength to strength
One of Katy’s strengths is taking a strategic look at the bigger picture. This skillset has seen Katy utilise her consultancy background and go on to launch her own recruitment business, Maara.
She explains: “Some of my business consultancy clients kept asking for help in their recruitment programmes after getting frustrated by the lack of attention and quality that they were getting from their recruitment suppliers.”
“It’s ok to build up slowly and take my time to let the company grow.”
Katy likes to work at full speed, but one of her biggest lessons since going self-employed has been to be patient with the growth of her business. She has also said it is imperative that you need to be open-minded when taking advice.
Crunch Chorus, a supportive self-employed community, has proved integral here for Katy. By becoming a free member, she has over 30 jargon-free business guides at her disposal as well as a friendly Facebook group to offer her expertise.
“Crunch Chorus has been a great source of information and resources as I have started out on the business journey and in the midst of COVID.”
Katy adds: “The guides have been the most useful for me, but as I grow and have new challenges I can see the Facebook group and perhaps some templates becoming useful as well.”
If you’re looking to follow in Katy’s footsteps by starting your own business, there’s no better place to start than joining Crunch Chorus to unlock free, downloadable guides to help turn that dream into reality.
