Join us as a full-time, permanent Director of Marketing, which is a UK based, remote-first role, with monthly travel to Sussex for performance board meetings.
About the role:
Crunch is seeking an experienced and commercially driven senior marketing leader to define, lead and execute the company's marketing strategy during a critical phase of transformation, growth and market evolution.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Marketing will own the entire marketing agenda, ensuring marketing investment directly contributes to lead generation, customer acquisition, revenue growth, retention and long-term enterprise value.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a proven marketing leader who combines strategic thinking with operational delivery. Whilst responsible for setting direction and building capability, the successful candidate must also be willing to roll up their sleeves and personally drive key initiatives, projects and performance improvements where required.
Leading a small but talented marketing team, the role will establish a clear growth strategy, strengthen Crunch's market position, optimise acquisition performance and build a scalable marketing function capable of supporting the next stage of the company's growth.
The role is particularly suited to someone who has successfully transformed, rebuilt or significantly improved marketing functions within SaaS, fintech, technology-enabled services, subscription businesses, accounting services or similar customer acquisition-led environments.
What does success look like in the role?:
Within the first 6-12 months, the successful candidate will:
- Define and implement a clear, high level marketing strategy aligned to Crunch's commercial and growth objectives.
- Deliver a tangible and measurable increase in high quality, qualified leads, sales opportunities and new customer acquisition.
- Partner closely with the CEO/Founder and Directors to shape and evolve the brand vision, values and strategic direction, translating this into a clear marketing strategy and leading its successful execution.
- Improve marketing contribution to revenue and establish clear attribution models.
- Strengthen Crunch's market positioning and competitive differentiation.
- Improve sales and service conversion rates throughout the customer journey.
- Establish robust reporting, forecasting and performance management frameworks.
- Successfully lead on the redevelopment and optimisation of the Crunch website and digital customer experience.
- Improve customer acquisition efficiency whilst maintaining lead quality.
- Enhance customer retention and customer lifetime value through improved lifecycle marketing.
- Develop a high-performing, accountable and commercially focused marketing function.
- Create board-level visibility of marketing performance, ROI and growth opportunities.
