At Crunch, driving growth starts with a strong sales strategy. As our Sales Manager, Igor has spent the past six months leading the charge on performance, partnerships, and process improvements to help Crunch reach more businesses and deliver even greater value to our clients.
Whether he’s empowering the sales team, fine-tuning internal operations, or kicking off new initiatives with stakeholders, Igor is all in and it shows.
Inside the role of Sales Manager
1. Igor, what does your role involve?
My role is to drive Crunch's growth by enhancing sales team performance, fostering partnerships with SME-focused companies, and collaborating with Crunch business leaders to optimize processes, develop products, and achieve strategic objectives.
2. Can you give us a sneak peek of what a typical day looks like for you?
My day typically starts with a bike ride to work and an oat flat white.
I then review key metrics to track performance against targets and update stakeholders. A team huddle follows, where we address updates, challenges, and plans.
The rest of my day focuses on three core areas: partner and client prospecting, sales team enablement, and collaborating on projects to advance my objectives and joint goals with stakeholders.
3. That sounds like a lot of moving parts! What’s something you’re especially proud of so far?
I'm particularly proud of our sales team's recent performance.
In the quarter ending March, we achieved continuous improvements in conversion rates, onboarded a record number of Enterprise clients in a single month, and delivered the best in-month performance result in over 6 months!
4. How do you approach managing and supporting your clients?
My team and I prioritize customer feedback, ensuring issues are promptly investigated and resolved through collaboration with internal teams.
Recently, we initiated updates to our onboarding process and the sales-to-client services handoff to create long-term, satisfied customers who remain loyal to Crunch.

5. Beyond leading the sales strategy, what else should we know about you? Any hidden talents?
I was born in Russia and lived in Minnesota before landing in the UK (mostly to get away from all the snow!). I used to play ice hockey - although not sure it qualifies as hidden… or a talent!
